As you’ll see in this report, our state partners kept our vision of a future where all of us have the freedom to thrive alive across the country – including increasing the minimum wage and codifying paid sick leave in Missouri, protecting public schools in Kentucky, and preventing our opposition from taking total control of the state legislature in Minnesota.
Our state partners achieved these victories despite a billionaire-funded opposition that used the same divide-and-conquer playbook they have used for decades to thwart our efforts to build a just, multiracial democracy.
As we reflect on our work in 2024, we remember that the antidote to this playbook has been, and always will be, us. Here are some of We Make the Future Action’s highlights:
Trained 628 people through our workshops, building skills and capacity across the movement.
Provided $293,775 in “Implementation Boo$t” funding to 17 partner organizations — with more than half going to Black, AAPI, or Latine-led and serving groups.
Collaborated on 7 research projects with 11 incredible partner organizations to ground our work in data.
Over 80% of our state partners gained a deeper understanding of messaging research because of our support.
