Freedom to Be Ourselves: Defeating MAGA’s Anti-Trans Attacks (ASO Communications)

During the last election and for several years prior, MAGA Republicans and their billionaire backers have scapegoated and harmed transgender people as part of a broader attempt to seize power and take away our freedoms. They want to control us all, and by targeting trans Americans early, they hope to divide “we, the people” in an attempt to keep us from realizing the power we hold when we come together across races, genders and backgrounds. 

Now that the MAGA movement has seized the federal government, we must contend with their brutally repressive policies by connecting across issues and communities to form a strong, vocal and durable multi-racial coalition championing a trans-inclusive vision for the country.

We must link arm in arm, refuse to comply with harmful policies, and demonstrate what we believe: all of us, transgender or not, should have the freedom to be ourselves, pursue our dreams, and thrive.
